Greedy algorithm – Status of PPC today

Filed under: My Rants — Dan @ 8:25 am

How much are the PPC companies like Google and Yahoo going to continue to charge per click? Up to $1,000 per. Thats crazy! Like everything else this system is being ruined by pure Capitalism. The small business owner like myself who depends on PPC to get seen is beeing pushed out of the search game because of companies like eBay, Amazon and in our own industry – Northern Tool who have large bank rolls! These companies dont care how much they spend per click! I guess they care but they can hols the competition back long enough to really hurt business.

  1. dude, what’s PPC?

economics; you want the competition of capitalism but the good intentions of socialism.

i see what you’re saying here though, in this instance, capitalism is actually encouraging monopolies not competition – which, in the American system, which of those things does it most encourage?

  2. I know Im a dreamer who wants the best of both worlds. Personally I dont like Capitalism. Capitalism leads to extreme competition and things like war and intense hatred. Theres nothing like being squeezed out of a job so another man can make that extra $5,000 next year.

  3. Oh, PPC. Pay-per-click online advertising… the way Google pulls a profit each day. For example, they charge advertisiers up to $100 per click (everytime a user clicks on an ad on Google and goes to the advertisers website). Most bids for clicks average around $1 per click but the prices continue to rise everyday with competition among advertisers.
